US Vice President Vance vows to investigate UFO files and describes “aliens” as demons

US Vice President JD Vance stated in a podcast conversation that he does not believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life and instead suspects that alleged sightings of “aliens” are actually demons. Speaking with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, he made the remarks partly in a humorous tone but also expressed determination to clarify the background of UFO reports. He announced that before the end of his term, he intends to take a closer look at classified government files on UFOs and examine their contents.

Vance described himself as highly interested in the topic but acknowledged that during his first year in office he had not found sufficient time to study it in depth. The podcast referenced an executive order issued in February by President Donald Trump, which directs federal agencies to identify and gradually release existing government documents related to UFOs and alleged alien phenomena. Trump justified the move by citing strong public interest in the subject.

The debate over extraterrestrial life gained further attention after former President Barack Obama stated in February that aliens were “real,” although he had not personally encountered them. Trump criticized the statement publicly and described it as a disclosure of classified information.

Vance, however, presented a religious interpretation and said that the observed phenomena should be understood as demonic manifestations within a Christian framework. He referred to biblical descriptions of celestial beings that interact with humans in unusual ways.

Official investigations have so far found no evidence of extraterrestrial life. A Pentagon report from March 2024 concluded that there is no proof that unidentified aerial phenomena are of alien origin and found that most reported sightings can be explained by weather balloons, spy aircraft, satellites, or other ordinary causes.
