Donald Trump has described Iranian negotiators as “very different and strange” and accused them of contradictory behavior. He stated that Iran’s leadership is actively seeking a deal behind the scenes while publicly only signaling interest in an existing proposal. Trump also claimed that Tehran is strongly pushing for an agreement.
At the same time, he issued a clear warning to Iran’s leadership, urging it to take serious steps quickly. Otherwise, irreversible consequences could follow that would be severe. He further asserted that Iran has already been militarily weakened and has no realistic chance of recovery, without providing concrete evidence.
In a separate statement, Trump sharply criticized NATO, accusing the alliance of failing to support the United States in the conflict with Iran. While emphasizing that the US does not need assistance, he expressed frustration with the behavior of partner countries and said he would not forget the situation.
The remarks come amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, as prospects for a diplomatic resolution appear increasingly uncertain.
